I am grateful to Tom King for many of the Forbes of Inverernan photographs. He is a mine of information about the Forbes family.

He is related to the Forbes of Inverernan through Charles Forbes who emigrated to Mexico and California.

For many years he worked in California and regularly returned to stay at the cottage at Newe called Broomwood.
