Aileen Ross has kindly sent in some photos and perhaps some of you amateur sleuths out there can help identify the people in them. The photos are on this and the previous page

Aileen says that the photos were in the possession of her grandmother Isabella Tawse nee Hay. Isabella’s parents were Alexander Hay and Annie Margaret Shand Chree. The Chree family is a well-known Glenbuchat family who loved at Sunnybrae Farm. Isabella’s aunt Isabella Chree never married and was a house keeper in Winstanley Hall Wigan as noted in the census below. Later she worked at Balconie Castle in Evanton, Ross-shire.
