Newe House key
The text on the label reads
“The original key of the Old House of Newe.
The door of the Old House was removed to the Mill of Newe about 1830 when Castle Newe was built, which incorporated the old house. The Mil of Newe was partially destroyed by fire in the early hours of the morning of Friday 25th January 1952, when the original door from the Old House was burned. This key was kept in the possession of Jonathan Watt, the Miller of Newe, where he has been for the past 37 years
