Worth noting the Square and Compassses in the middle window. I remember walking down the Crags from Beltimb to Jim Davidson's shop, in the late 60s. It still had a hand cranked petrol pump. He also owned the shop at Bellabeg, which is still trading and had a van that went round the glens delivering groceries and all sorts, at a time when not everyone had a car. He sold the shop, moving to Alford and continued with a picture framing business till he retired. Happy Days!

The joiner on the left was identified as a Mcgregor from Upperton, possibly James Glennie Mcgregor 1888 - 1920? See entry no. 969. This would make him 19 years old when this photo was taken in 1907.

Hi the joiner on the right is my Grandfathers brother Colin Macgregor. He emigrated to Toronto,Canada with a few of his other brothers plus their sister Lena. Unsure when they left. My great grandfather and family are buried in Strathdon churchyard. His name was Colin as well
